Hi there. Im just trying to gather a little feedback to find out how people feel about and deal with constant 'no shows'. Obviously I appreciate that sometimes people genuinely cannot make it to collect an item, but a message to notify is always appreciaated (even after the event). If I gift something, then the last thing I expect is to have to give up my time to wait for collection, just to have people not turn up. Its pointless and downright rude. But it seems to have become an integrated part of the syste, and I feel it would be beneficial to have a 'name and shame' system. Perhaps it would deter the system abusers. What does everybody else think.

Must say that after reading your post I quite agree with you. This has happened to me on several occasions whereby I have gave up my time only to find that no one calls for collection, however I do occasionally recieve e-mails apologising for inconviencing me and arranging other collection details, although they are few and far between. As initial contact, when requesting the item, seems genuine, I have then even e-mailed the individual concerned (if I recieve no communication)to enquire if they are still interested in the item prior to re-posting it,maybe Im just too soft..lol.A 'name and shame' system does seem like a good idea, however imposing a ' three strikes and your out' policy would be more fitting prior to naming and shaming them as there are individuals out there who do have genuine reasons for non collection.
