When i offer things i get the same people asking

Hi When i offer i get the same peolpe asking for items, I now had the woman e-mail me 3 times same e-mail same typo's and 1 of her e-mails is from a sales room.
Am rather reluctant to give to someone going to sell items on. I would like people in genuine need of items to get them. How do i weed out the sellers?
I have a seller on block aready from last year.
This post might get taken down but hope someone can give me an answer?
I have reported this person over to admin of the site they posted the e-mails from.
Just seem so unfair to people that might no have acess to the net till there at lunch hence i wait 24 hours after i post to take a name out a hat.

Some people never get picked and asked why? Luck of the draw is the answer.Or i have my suspitions that there a seller. I bin the cheeky ones right away. And the people that e-mail more than twice get binned aswell. Once i had someone send the wrong number that is kind of different they had forgoten there wife had changed the phone number. But sadly he never made it past the draw :(
Wonder if there could be a feedback system added? Like you could rate collector lol or gifter?And make it so teh gifter and the reciever have to fill it in. and maybe mod's could do a scan of phone numbers ect so 1 number 1( must be land line number) freecycler? If ya have BBI (broad band internet) you should have a phone number.ADSL users (phone exchange users have live active line) DSL (cable) users dont need to have phone line. Think that way it weeds the seller out aswell.
I have had a guy have to wait a few days to get a van to collect a sofa bed, A woman came for a single bed she was asking for in the group and while she was here had asked to take it away :(. The guy had booked in paid for the van so i said no to her I now think she is a seller as she keeps asking for same things and i know she has had 2 from us already but same adverts kept going up. I aint checked for a while.

I couldnt remeber the e-mail address to flag an aware as they said. I know the guy had booked the van cause he e-mailed me the confirmation so i said no. Some fokes and all that. As my other half said god loves a trier and then he said put a few words after it lol. I hate my e-mail box choking up so i delite alot as soon as i know what day and time there coming. Like the seller guy got told he was not a member of freecycle well not that 1 i joined 3 of them I used to be part of 1 in edinburgh a while back. But i was from there at that time.I know fife is a large area and maybe make sence to gift out on all 3 from where we stay.we're kind of in the middle of all 3.

I think your idea of a feedback system is great Shirley! Not sure how easily it could be done. It would certainly help us get an idea of how likely people are to collect. No shows are a pain, especially if they don't give a specific time and you have to sit in all day waiting for them.

i have just started on freecycle and i put 4 things on at the one time. i have put the stuff on in good faith that it wont be sold on. all of the receivers were really good and kept in touch via email. had the odd ones where they wanted the tent i offered to be in perfect condition, well in that case buy one you cheeky sod. had a woman wanted the tent yet had no car, so i asked her she never replied so richard barrie got it. i asked for a sandpit and i believe that if you truly want something you keep your eye on it and reply quickly to emails, also arrange a time to collect asap. they emailed about the sandpit i emailed back straight away then went to collect it straight after that. i had to email a couple of people about stuff as they said they would take it then did nothing so i give tham a day then email them to tell them they have til this time and if i havent heard from them its going to someone else. but all in all, brilliant site. didnt even know it existed and now i do im hooked on getting shot of stuff. my hubby is worried im going to start clearing out his shed. thanks for reading
